Our safety measures include:

• Professionally trained and experienced staff
• In-depth, one-to-one interviews
• Reference checks (non-familial)
• Background checks through:
  Wisconsin Department of Corrections Sex Offender Registry
  Wisconsin Department of Justice
  Wisconsin Circuit Court
  VolunteerSelect, a national background screening program
• Ongoing, regular contact with all volunteers, children and their parents from our experienced Match Support Specialists
• Reporting any suspected child abuse or neglect, as mandated by Wisconsin child safety laws
• Child safety education regularly offered to our staff
